I found the brake dust is ok. How about you cortc?
Cortc, do you hear any high pitch noise in the initial breaking. I can hear it when winding window down.

There is a little less dust than stock; these pads have more metal in them... They are more aggressive so you will eat-up the rotors faster...
taka: Yes, the are a little louder than stock, the slight pitch is from the resonant properties of these pads against the rotors due to the higher metal content...

cortc, do you know what material they are made of? is it cevlar?
that's racing material used by many companies like brembo and omp.
I used omp pads (with stock rotors) in my previous car and braking was dramatically improved! they were very loud though...

rotor: I do not know what material they are using to support the metal particles; it is most probably either carbon or maybe a mix of carbon and kevlar? I will try and find out...

In particular the initial bite is great, increases the great response time and reduce fading as well - so it is good for track (up to 10 laps in a twisty circuit I heard).
It is a good all round pad - good for street and good for track, with a slight sqweak that tell people of the sport brake

How easy/difficult it is to replace the brake pads yourself? What are the steps and tools required for the job? I was told you need a 14mm socket to unscrew the two screws at the back side of the caliper in order to slide it out.

Pete

I wouldn't fit it myself. Although I know how to do it. Brake is kinna important part of the car and I rather paid the mechanics to do it. If you don't know anyone, the dealer should be the one to go for.

It is simple, a 14mm socket and 10 minutes per wheel... If you are a good home mechanic then no problem, however like taka said if you are not sure have it done by a professional...

Can you describe the procedure in more details?
I believe you need to unscrew both 14mm nuts at the back side of the caliper in order to detach it and slide it out. But what are the steps you need to perform after that? Are there any spring clips that need to take care of??
TIA,
Pete
