plenty of us have replaced our stock shiftknob.

while i don't consider the stock shiftknob to be an aftermarket performance modification, the hks one i switched it was.

 

get the mazdaspeed shifter. its definitely better.

 

u should buy a voodoo ****..........
oem ***** are heavy, i bet it weighs close to 10 lbs.
i would sell u mine but i use it as a paperweight in tornados........

You might want to follow the adivce above and post a WTB in the for sale section.

 

I got a custom laser engraved **** from the "knobmiester" Joe Portus. It matches the aluminum of the interior with a powdercoated pearl finish VooDoo ****. I went with an RX-8 logo over a rotor and gear design. Sells for $50.00, looks way cool and feels better in the hand, solid aluminium. The stock **** has cheap plastic and the finsh wears off, mine was super glued for a while to hold the plastic top on. Upgrade, just google VooDoo ***** and knobmiester, there are some really cool designs, and he can laser etch anything you want on it.

 

stock **** is too expensive, a lot of us use Voodoo and they are about $40-50 shipped.
