What exhaust should I get? What intake should I get? What coilovers should I get? What rims should I get? What tires should I get? What gauges should I get? What body kit should I get? Ultimately the choice is yours. Get what you want based on what your looking on getting out of your car whether it be looks, performance, or reliability. With a little research you could have came up with "all" the suggestions that were mentioned above. Next why don't we discuss what oil you should use!

Maybe he wants advice or suggestions, which he got from other club members. Layoff hes new, everyone has asked another club member what they think about this. Its the way we work, we might want something but asking another for reinsurance to make sure its the best option. Its the buyer decision process (marketing 101)

Its a little different when someone ask you what you would do with X amount of money and when they ask you for an opinion between 2 or 3 parts. It just really is a stupid question and there is no way around that.

Well if you ask a X number of people what they would do with 3k for their Rx-8, some suggestions would appear more than once. I understand where ur coming from but maybe he wants a wide spectrum of suggestions.

Tires.
Driving lesson.

And go from there.. since you can't considerably increase power on this car with $3,000 you might as well exploit what it's already really good at, handling.

That is exactly what I'm looking for. New to imports and the wankel. Not new to cars. Just looking for advice.

:werd:

Plus you will have some change to pay for track days etc too.....

I could give you a dozen paths to take with 3K. However, if you want real life advice I would say make sure you have $ set aside for repairs. I have been really lucky with no issues (90K miles) but not everyone is. Get a few things like the access port and BHR ignition... maybe a short shifter, but if you spend that 3 now and then something happens later you're going to shoot yourself.

First off, I don't waste other members time asking questions about how I should spend my money. I do my own research and make an educated decision based off of the research. I then post my thoughts in regards to my new purchase and maybe a couple pics. New or not he asked a very vague question so I gave him the answer that I thought he deserved.

Blacknightz 02-24-2011 08:32 PM

So when are u going to spend?

:)

monchie 02-24-2011 11:30 PM

Spend it wisely and surely...

terch1 02-25-2011 08:17 AM

Personally I've been spending for quite some time now. (It's an addiction) Years to be exact. But I'm almost ready for the track. (Thunderbolt Raceway in Millville, NJ) Take a look at my vBGarage if you want to see what I have spent my money on. I have plenty of pics posted to my photo albums as well.

That is why it is a post and not a pm. People can respond or move on to the next post. Its a choice. You however decided to respond and waste your own time. That is your doing not mine.

I knew the actor George Raft and he said "I have made and spent $6,500,000 in my life; 6 mil I spent on women, gambling, drinking and party. The other 500K I wasted." He made 106 movies. He died broke. True story,
Everything he had he left to my uncle Jimmy who died and left it to my mom.
Now I have it and it is all in one box, no cash.

So word to the wise: spend on what makes you feel good.

What would you do with a stock 05 rx8 gt fully loaded minus the gps and $3000.00. You cannot go over $3000.00 and your doing the labor yourself. Please include where you would buy the parts and how much you would pay. Include shipping cost also.

Most original question I have ever heard

8upbad 02-27-2011 10:21 AM

Blacknightz 03-10-2011 02:20 PM
