Nope, but I did visit a coed bathroom on campus once. A guy was in there but left shortly after I entered, leaving me alone. Even knowing it was coed it still felt strange when two women casually walked in and started brushing their teeth.

Thats not that bad. The bathrooms in my old dorm were co-ed. There were a lot of hot chicks in that dorm, but the attraction soon wears off when you are taking a shit at the same time, and she sinks your battleship. :puke:

so the stock fans turn on at #1 87 C and #2 90 C right? when is this mod going to make them turn on?

Jax_RX8 09-07-2006 06:26 PM

Don't know the C translation, but they turn on at 192-195F and turn off at 185F. Thermostat is at 180F, so fans turn off just above thermostat temp.

Brettus 09-07-2006 06:33 PM

thats 88.9-90.5 according to my cellphone .
Did some acceleration tests yesterday with scanalyser & found my temps up to 96 after then going down to 86 at cruise . This is on a cool day . Wish I had done same test before UD pulley went on. Think I need this mod

edit 97.2 -99.4 for stock (see below)

Dont' have the C tranlation, but stock the fans go on at 207F and 211F for fans 1 and 2.

HERO 09-07-2006 06:46 PM

does this mod and the RB ecu mod make the fans come on at the same time?

I don't know the exact specs of the RB ecu flash, but I understand they do make the fans work more agressively than stock similar to this mod. But remember, if you get the RB flash and ever have to have the car re-flashed, the fan control will be gone as well.

Dyno Runs!

1 Attachment(s)
Although this product is not marketed as a horsepower upgrade here are some real world dyno results. The thumbnail below is an automatic trans. Interceptor-X tuning session from ~2 weeks ago.
During this session all the runs were started only when water temp dropped to 82c. At the end of the session I suggested we install the cooling fan control kit and do another pull, nothing else.
Without the cooling fan control kit the Interceptor-X temp. gauge would consistantly rise to 94c and the majority of the time flash 98c by the end of the run. With the kit installed the highest water temp. was 88c. Just goes to show you a cooler running rotary engine will make more power!

Have done a bit of on road testing myself and seeing better times when coolant temp is at lower end of scale - I thought I must be imagining it .
Like the song says " I'm a believer" :)

Time for a group buy Scott .................

Car does run better at a certain temp. I wonder if the engine temp vs the engine bay temp is the one to look for? Or both? I was going to start monitoring engine bay temps but the weather in Ga right now is in the 80's and in the 10 mile ride to work my coolant temp doesnt even get to 190 WITHOUT the a/c on. Now if I run her a little it does but then it cools right off----so --no point in taking any readings.
The side vents could be used more in moving air

The only thing that will matter as far as performance is the coolant temp , and perhaps the intake temp . You have a cold air intake already so as long as the coolant does not go beyond a certain level - who cares what the engine bay temp is ?
