Anyone install one and notice a "whistle" from inside the air filter/intake tube?

I have no lights, buzzers or warnings and the car runs great. It just "whistles" now.

Yep, silly question, but I'd like to hear from others...

 

Mines loud but no whistle. Is everything installed right?

hmm, that reminds me, mine used to whistle but not anymore, wierd. I guess i have taken it off a few times when i go to the dealer, so yea check the hoses

Most of the 9.5 HP is in the whistles.

 

make sure everything is sealed tight. i get no whistles but its pretty loud.

 

mine whistles sometimes, it's as close i can get to a turbo sound :/ lol

 

At certain rpm's/throttle positions the throttle body plate can create a resonance much in the same way you can with a blade of grass between your lips. Thus a whistle.

 

my k&n typhoon intake makes a whistling sound too, some people said to check the tubes and such, but i really dont see anything wrong with it because it runs fine
