If it is one of those eBay chips, don't waste your money. On some cars they might work, but not on the 8.

The RX-8 already runs pig rich from the factory, and dumping more fuel (that is what those chips do) isn't going to help the problem.

Yo the guy talkin about the Jet Performance V force plus. I installed that chip in my car and i notice my car slower on top speed. Im also 6k feet up in the alltidute so its hard to tell but if someone could give me a lil more information would be nice. thanks

If you go to their site ( http://www.jetchip.com/Shop/shopdisp...ppp=10&catID=1 ) for the RX8, it is a service similar to Racing Beat. Send in your ECU, they reprogram and send back. Only the Jet costs more.
Also, it sounds like they don't know how to program for a rotary, from your experience.
