yea, i know but im saying that I wouldn't pay $1700 for 15, 25, or even 35 HP to the wheels over stock. sure it would be nice to hold me over until someone can release a turbo kit that works like it should or modifies the greddy to actually flow 12 psi to 7 or 8K.

I hear ya, but what you have to understand is that you are not only purchasing 15-35rwhp (hopefully 35!). You are purchasing someonething to build on in the future as well. If you plan on going FI then it is worth it, even if you dont go FI for a while after you add the Interceptor

People are spending $$$ on catbacks and intakes which delivery virtually no improvement so $1700 looks like the price of admission for bona fide measurable performance improvements. I'd rather put money into something that performs than stuff that just changes the sound.

For sure! This might prove to be the first real horsepower improvement mod.

Not me. Maybe others. Mine stays box stock until the warranty is up. Maybe longer. I want to see what this and SC will do.

Can we please get an update from Mazsport directly instead of word of mouth? They are a vendor now so I would expect at least that... Some type of update would be nice... I am one of those people with a N/A car looking to purchase this product if the results are there.

Thankx..

my $ is on Canzoomer-like performance. You'll see 20HP gains above 6kRPM, and that's with an individual tune to YOUR 8. Aside from controlling timing, its only able to make a N/A run leaner. There is just no way that a N/A 8 is going to dyno 225whp. Not possible.

its possible, it just may take more than your willing to spend for porting, intake/exhaust work, etc

^ good point. Let me clarify: There is no way an Interceptor-X, by itself, will produce a 225whp dyno chart. Not possible.

I have seen a renesis whift intake and full exahust do 232 rwhp but this engine is maunted on a race car whift no emisions stuff, no AC or power steering and a stand alone ecu.

So it can be done.

Is it possible for an rx8 to dyno at 206whp, stock?

Leads me to believe the HP can be found via the ECU or the MAF perhaps....but my money is on the ECU. Therefore, something like this Interceptor may be just the thing.

I dunno... that dyno sheet is strange. How the hell did an RX8 go 180MPH!??

That was a 1st-thru-6th gear dyno, hence i'ts weird looking to most

As far as getting an RX8 to hit 180 - just mash the pedal to the floor...it's easy.

It's not hard to go 180 mph on a dyno. There's no air resistance (drag) to overcome.

The 8 doesnt have enough weight (wind resistance) to go that fast stock on the road, but on a dyno it can, like Rotarygod said.

Maybe I was asking for too much in regards to an update from Mazsport. Even a chime in saying that they are still continuing to work on it would do..

Come on guys.... :/
