Question Intakes for the RX-8?

I just bought the typhoon v.2 and all i hear is **** i got it for 180 so to me without money and the aem is like 350 plus shipping, i thought it would be okay. Am i in for a long ride? Its my first mod and then im looking for pulleys from greddy but looking around. New to everything so advice is wanted haha. Also could i buy a carbon fiber paneling to stop engine heat?

Intakes & other bolt-ons provide little gains. Other than going Turbo / SC the best bang for your dollar would be suspension mods. Carbon Fiber paneling wouldn't provide anything other than cosmetic changes. You need to spend time searching this forum. This car is basicily the same since 2003 so new questions regarding this car is rare.
