Actually I like my RB + ramair duct lots better than the MS/AEM CAI. The RB is the only true "ramair" intake (assuming you install the duct as well), so it gets better as you accelerate. And I don't generally like the "unprotected" feel of the MS/AEM. I'd rather have the "looks stock" RB intake, which also seems to perform better....

As for the "you lose (one "o" guys, please) HP" comment, it might be true for the eBay intakes, or the first Typhoon (which was retracted anyway). The -ridiculously expensive- MS or the AEM, and of course the RB intakes, are worth it

Actually the guy I talked to at Rotaryperformance said that the CAI's work better such as the AEM and the newly introduced MS CAI!! due to the fact that the tubing is longer you will see and feel gains all across the RPM range( but probably not a lot since our car doesn't really like mods) also it won't really be "unprotected" because the new MS CAI is basically a twin of the AEM! I still like the filter being outside though!!

as for ebay intakes, I agree with you, I wouldn't buy it on there!
