Installing Rotary Performance High-Flow Cat with Greddy SP2 Exhaust
Mods for my 8, have been going great. I recently just got my Rotary Performance High-Flow Cat in, and then tomorrow I am picking up a brand new Greddy SP2 exhaust from a forum member here!
I'm going to find a day where I will install both of these, however, I need to ask some questions first.
What will I need to know in order to install these? When I got my RP High-Flow cat, I tried to install it, and I didn't know how to get the hanger off. From what people told me, all I need to do is just pull up on the rubber and it will come off? Also, when I ordered the bolts/gasket kit from RP, I only received one gasket, on which side does this go on?
For the exhaust, how do I remove the two pieces on the rear bumper in order for my stock exhaust to come out? Do these have hangers too? If so, how do I take the stock exhaust out and what were some problems you guys came into.
I will keep you guys updated on the day I am going to install and I will take pictures during the installation. After all is done I will take some video/sound clips for those who are intersted.
Help me out, thanks!

You should have posted this in your other thread or in the Tech Garage section.
Anyways, Too get the rubber hangers off, I used a spray bottle with soap and water. Then wedged a big flathead screwdriver to get leverage. They're on there pretty good.
The gasket goes on the cat-side of the midpipe. See the circle around it. You could have used the stock one but it may be too smashed up. The other side of the midpipe doesn't need one.
The exhaust trim pieces are easy to take out. It's one plastic pop-out screw and then a few clips. More info on removing them on the mazdatrix site.

The stock exhaust is also grounded to the frame with a wire. As for removing the (2) exhaust shrouds, they are tricky at best. You have to reach up behind the bumper and squeeze the clips and push them through the bumper one at a time.
