from what i've read on some technical files, porting the renisis is worthless.

here's proof from the forum's resident expert:

yup, not really a worthwhile option for the Renisis.

Not really worth while to tear down an engine to port it but if it's already down, it would then be a viable performance gain. Ray is trying to find time to do mine while it's down.

so if i i did a bridge port would i even notice any power on the 8 or is it just useless like everyone is saying?

i heard theres not much to port on the 8

(if THAT). The time it takes to pay somebody ELSE would be more than anybody would wanna pay for a mere 10-12 h.p. (if THAT).

Thank you for your service to America and make sure to spend your money on mods for the RX-8 that have better value. I can help you with that, BTW.;)

p.s. It was MY sideplates Rotarygod ported when I rebuilt my engine.

eeks. he's a marine, and he'd probably rather be called a marine. soldiers are in the army, like me! one of those strange military things... but i'm sure rj gets it.

second thing is i read that whole thread on your plates getting ported about four months ago. it was one of the most wicked threads. definitely excellent write up by rotarygod! i recommend it for anyone who has a technical bone in their body:

hey you use what you got.

lol. it was awesome regardless.

RWagz 10-27-2008 10:45 PM

I don't even know if you can bridgeport the renesis.

...read the thread. you will be learned afterwards.

My irons are being ported tonight by CHR and Easy_E1. When I get the completed engine back I will post my feelings on the porting..................................

Easy_E1 11-07-2008 04:21 PM

There is NO room for a Bridge Port in the Renesis. There really isn't any room for any enlargment of the exsisting port period. Mazda has made them large already. All you can do is clean up a few little imperfections and thats about it. That's about all I'm doing with Phils engine.

MAKE room, not excuses you measly little peasant!
Oh, and don't forget... new day = new picture in Phil's thread. Get back to work slacker. :whipping:
