The high power exhaust (single tip) is best for turbo applications. if you have a NA car, the 3" pipe will cause for a loss of torque, but you might get some top end HP due to the enlarged pipe. also, remember that when you have two different pipe sizes you will lose power due to the turbulence in the pipes. i would go with the legmax if you have a NA car. thats just me

this porbably sounds retarted but.. could switch the side of the exhuast? like to the right side and is there a way to angle it?

i havent been on the forum as much, please correct me iif im wrong but theres still no single exhaust body kits available?

i have a MS replica and i crashed my rear so i was thinking of playing around and making my own converstion to a 1 side exhaust.,.

if you switch sides of the pipe, then you're making the exhaust have more bends than it needs to, which is defeating it's purpose.

i saw a veilside car with a rear bumper that didn't really have exit shrouds, so if that's the standard vs rear bumper, that would work out.

I am really interested in getting one, my main question is does it have a place to put the oxygen sensor, and on the pipe is that a cat it brings, or a high flow cat? or does it not have one? and can you blow flames out of it? Also why were you guys suggesting it was a bad idea to attach a mid pipe to it?

it is a catback exhaust. which begins with the pipe behind the cat. it doesn't not hook up w/ the oxygen sensor (which is at the cat). you can probably blow flames if you run it hard long enough. it may be a bad idea to put a midpipe with it because it is going to be very loud.

the cat is going to take away the ability to blow flames (i know who you are talking about specifically... and your not goign to shoot them out like her)... you will have to go with a mid pipe if that is what youare shooting for

You can blow flames with any exhaust. It just takes a little effort to do. Without the cat, it's a lot easier to do.

The reason why it's a bad idea to get an aftermarket exhaust, then attach a catless midpipe is because your car is going to be f'in loud. Depending on the catback, it might be louder than your car is at full rpm with just the catback, when you're driving at 2,000 rpm with the catless.

If you ever turbo it though it will not be so load as without one though. So you could justify that in your head by thinking, "well i am getting this because i will putting a turbo kit on it soon."

has anybody put a mid pipe with a resonator on the HKS Hi-power?
Even though im definitely interested in it, I kinda don't want to be the first person to do it. Other than that I really like the way the single side sounds and even looks, Im just wondering what to do with the other side when I have a giant hole there. lol I dont have the stock one, I have a MS replica that is all one color, anybody have ideas, should I just put up a wire mesh behind it? I also like the turbo XS one, but when I saw this clip on you tube, it sounded way to high pitchy, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2D_juqS0pU.

I really like the price on both the HKS and the Turbo XS, I probably won't get a mip pipe added to the HKS if I did get that one. Ironically enough these two are most useful for turbo applications which I don't have, maybe one day though.

somewhere is ordering a hiflow cat with a resonator for their's i forget who though. And to my knowledge nobody has done a midpipe/hks single combo yet, BUT if you were thinking about it i'd get a resonator for the midpipe and also a resonator for the exhaust.

When reading on the HKS website and other various websites it says that this exhaust system is for off road use only, As if it weren't emissions compliant. I thought it had a high flow cat on it. I live in florida and I don't really mind the emissions thing, but What exactly is that box that looks like a cat when I see pictures of the exhaust. Thanks
