HKS Racing Suction manual?

Well I recently got a Racing Suction from a fellow forum member, and it is a brand new intake, but there's no instruction manual inside??? Do they not come with manuals? Could anybody possibly scan one for me if theirs came with one? I found pics good enough to guide me through putting together most of the heat shield but there's some parts here and there I'm lost on, like those two rainbow looking thick round metal blocks, and two tiny rubber caps. Would greatly appreciate any help I could get!

All RX-8 Racing Suction Kits that come from HKS USA should include English instructions. Either the kit was purchased directly from Japan or someone took out the instructions. If you PM me your email address, I'll send you a copy!

Well imagine my surprise when Mike over at HKS USA sent over the manual himself out of the blue! Awesome customer service there. And thanks to everybody that offered to send over the manual!

So I have it installed in my 04 AT, and...I must say it sounds...interesting. To be honest I don't know if I'm happy with it or more annoyed with it. It seems to make quite a loud low hollow bassy tone when I jab the throttle at RPMs below 3000, which sounds a little silly at times when I'm trying to be a nice driver around town. The low tone slowly gives way to a more raspy snarl as the RPMs start going over 4k. And this is all if I'm gently giving gas and bringing the RPMs up relatively slowly. If I floor the gas at any RPM, it gets freaking LOUD.

The thing is also incredibly hissy. My AT always did sound a little hissy when I locked into overdrive gear at low RPMs that goes away as the RPMs increase, but for whatever reason the HKS RS REALLY makes that hissing more pronounced. And it's when I need to give enough gas to get out of overdrive at low speeds that the sudden loud hollow low growl thing starts to sound a little silly, because if my speeds drop, it goes right back into overdrive and starts hissing again. Hiss...*WHOO*...hiss...*WHOO*...kinda irritating.

I tried opening up my hood after the first drive once I got home and man the intake hisses like crazy from the area in front of the filter. Is it supposed to be so hissy, or rather, sucking in air like this at idle? I know my pipe is connected securely and the hissing isn't coming from any area behind the filter, it's coming from the front of the filter.

Definitely mixed feelings, soundwise I completely prefer the stock intake box with a K&N Panel filter to the HKS. It just had a more unique smooth rotary snarl to it. Now I don't really know what to make of it. It actually sounds very similar to how my friend's stock 350z sounds like at redline, and the last thing I wanted was to make my rotary sound like a piston car.
