HKS intake video

Just did the install yesterday, took about hour 1/2. I love the sound, most people say it's high pitch, I think it made my car sound deeper. I also have a magnaflow exhaust and it would drown out my rotary notes, but now I can hear it again. I'll make another vid later with a drive by at 9k rpms. First rev was done at 3k rpms second is at 9k rpms.

Man, thats so awesome... I love how people spend time filming how their intake sounds instead of how it performs.

I wonder if back in the day people were sitting around an Olds 442 and said "Man, that new carb and intake SOUNDS so much better!"

Most of the aftermarket exhaust make a similar sucking sound. What were people saying the gains were on this, 1-3whp?

The reason I bought the HKS intake was one of the forum members came over to my shop and he just had it installed. He had no exahust, just the intake and the sound was really sick, I had to buy it. I got this baby on ebay for 265.00.

Thats a pretty unique filter, when the time comes to replace it, do you have to order another from HKS? If so, how much and where do you get it from?

I couldent find any claims for HP, even on the HKS website. When Install was done I didn't feel crap from the intake, it was just feakin loud but the next day was diffrent, after driveing it for a while I let it rip all the way to 9k and then I felt the car pull a bit harder. My guess is the ECU, but as always it could just be the butt dyno.

congrats on the intake. I'm glad you like it. Yes they are a lil on the loud side once passed 5k. The average hp gain is typically 2-3 hp, ofcourse it's nothing you can feel. It does pull a little harder top end though. I've had mine since they came out and have yet to see one problem with it.

oh gosh..please don't bring this topic up again. Before you start blabbering about stuff you have no information about make sure you do your research first.
