High Flow Cat
Well, that's your opinion. For some "old school muscle car" smell = stinky tailpipe. Maybe I'm older now, or maybe I think my $34,000 car shouldn't smell like a $500 hooptie and I don't want to ghetto out my car with pictures everywhere & junk in my car. You can do what you like with your car. I have my opinion, you have yours.
PS gtballa, you should check out Mazdamaniac's turbo kit as well. Essentially a Greddy kit, but with the problems fixed & much larger turbo.

gtballa, you've seen some people in the post describe what it's like with a midpipe (smelling like a gas station). I guess if you want to drive your car with the windows rolled up all the time, your car can smell peachy, I guess.

If you think you get more than 2-3 hp more from a midpipe than a supercat, then you are delusional.

And BTW, the hp for an RP Supercat is about 5-6 hp (See Nemesis posting), and the midpipe a little more than that. Dynoed on this board (not the 2-3 that you claim).

Hey Stefan, i'm in europe too (Italy) and we found, after some research, some european producers that have "non melting\gutting" catalyzers for our car.

hey i have a sp2,
i was wondering how much louder is the midpipe compared to a high flow cat?
and if it is alot louder than high flow would it sound like a high flow if u put the resonator on it or will it sound just normal like ur exhaust and u only get the gains?

Yeah, im trying to get a rp supercat and work it with my stock exhaust. Does those 2 work good together? I wonder if it will sound good together and loud haha. i went to this site http://rx7.com/store/rx8/rx8exhaust.html but i do not know if this is the right one can anyone check for me? But for now i think i am going to go with just the RP supercat and later get some exhausts and others hehe =D.

There are other catalyzers that don't gut that easily.
You should try them even if the cost is definitely higher. There is the brain cat that respects FIA standards (www.brainkat.net i think) but i gutted that as well, now i'm using the re amemiya one and it is an excellent product!
