Hey guys

I just wanted to let you know that I got the axialflow shifter, it's good stuff, I'm really glad I got it. Now I'm looking to make my car a little faster, I don't have enough money for a turbo or anything, I was thinking like maybe a cold air intake? Is that a good idea? And if so what brand is good? Thanks for the help guys.

intakes arent gonna do much as far as power gains, good thing you went with an MT...the only true power gains are through a COBB AP, or a midpipe...anything else is just for sound and looks, youre better off putting your money in suspension mods

SEARCH..... but like dozer said, midpipe is your best bet for most gains from a bolt on

the shifter is great.

as to power upgrades nothing really helps a lot.

i would read some stickys and go from there.. you want sound from the front or rear?

yeah it gives something from a cold start but after a while the engine heat is gonna get sucked in as well, your better off with a CAI from AEM or MS

^ lol , sometimes its better to give the harsh truth then sugar coated lies. This is what the rx8 community is good at doing , so u dont get misinformed , its for ur own good. But honestly it depends what you're goals are in a intake , if its to go faster , its not going to do that , if its for sound , then maybe you can justify buying one. But performance wise , stock is good enough imo

For intake wise just go ahead and grab a k&n drop in filter and add the RB duct. Probably the best thing intake wise for perf, pretty equal to a AEM/MS CAI. Just it doesnt have that pimp status in the engine bay like a CAI does.
