i end up going in deep water that didint look deep, i have a cai and now its not starting at all, it tries to start but nothings working, its a aem, it stalled in the water

 

good thing there isnt any pistons in that engine. take out the plugs and manually turn the engine a few times.

 

yea, take out the spark plugs. check your oil, see if it's milky. crank the engine to blow any water outta the engine. hopefully it isn't too bad...

 

ok guys i got it started, but the engine light is staying on

 

It'll take a couple drive cycles to clear any DTC codes that were generated while attempting to start the car.
If you want to clear it faster, disconnect the battery for awhile.

 

i did that to a rented honda once in the middle of nowhere new zealand. luckily there was a farm house about 4 miles back and the owner dabbled in mechanics. he was happy to help once i convinced him not to shoot the idiot yank in the funny muddy clothes walking through his bull pen.
