a header question

ok so in early october i went to see Gt Live in Va. i was talking to the team roar racing guys (freaking awesome people) i tried talking to the speedsource guys(too kool for skool i guess). the team roar guys were telling me the upgrades. they had a heat tape covered oem airbox and k&n filter, racing beat flash, a header, and some ghetto looking super noisy exhaust. now back to the header. i asked them which header they used and they said the speed source one and it made a pretty good improvement. well i looked around and all i could find is that they used the obx header. can anyone confirm what they used?

The Speedsource header is a well made piece, but it's pretty much a standard RX-8 racing type header, will set you back approx. $1400 - $1500

No one has a Racing beat header yet as they haven't made any aside from the few they used for testing and I've seen those.

The header is/was a pre-production header from Racing Beat. I Know a little more than I might let on. Funny you reply and tell me that it could not be a Racing Beat header but missed/don't know the proper team name.

Hey Moonrover333 to answer you original post, we run the speedsource header. It is an equal length 3 to 1 header much like the RE AMEMIYA one. Although there is no provisions for a primary o2 sensor. Personally i wouldnt recommend buying a header for an Rx8 unless you are just trying to get every possible hp out of the motor. For most people its simply not worth the money.
