NY Forum user opinions on RX8 aftermarket exhaust systems?

I want to know what you guys or girls are using and how you like the product? Header back/Cat back etc... Also, in conjunction with what other mods? Also, any stock with just intake and exhaust out there? Let me know... Wanna know what direction to go with my RX8.

Hey JREN,

In terms of what direction you want to go with your RX8 really is dependant on what your goals are for the vehicle.

If you're looking for moderate power increases with the ability to daily drive the car there are a lot of great items which would cost you about the same or less than a full exhaust system.

If you're looking for more sound or exterior items then there are still some great choices.

What are you looking for in an exhaust? Power gains? Weight loss?

I'm looking for moderate power gains but I still want it to be a daily driver. Something that I might be able to take to the track from time to time too... I'm just wondering where I might start to go in that direction?

I have the Racing Beat Exhaust system and its been pretty great. Im like you i need my rx8 for a daily driver also. This exhaust has a great sound but it isnt too loud. if you are just going 65 70 on the freeway you wont even really be able to tell theres like no interior noise. but once u start reving you and everyone around you will be able to here the greattt sound!

Yeah it all depends on if you want sound and performance or just sound. +1 on the racing beat exhaust. If i did not have to worry about emissions i would get the Racing Beat Resonated Catalytic Converter Replacement Pipe and REV8 Exhaust System.

I just recently put on my Mazdaspeed dual V2 exhaust.

It sounds GREAT at WOT! But it's very quiet and has no drone....since I daily drive mine too. I'm in the process of adding the RB DR Midpipe and RB REVi intake to the exhaust to keep it more along the lines of being quiet at cruise - but sound like sex when opening up the throttle!

Even with these....if I was really looking for power gains....I wouldn't have bought any of these items and just saved up for a used Greddy turbo kit.

I just wanted the sound to reflect that of a sports car that's about it.

My next mods on the lists after the intake and midpipe is purely suspension, brakes, tires, and an aggressive alignment.
