I have access to a few of these units. I just wanted to put a feeler out to see the interest on this Intake System.

Looks like the Simota intake.

 

Is this an overlay the inside looks like regular black plastic?

 

It is carbon fiber.

 

Question out of curiosity - is it possible for an intake to be designed to use the stock tube? Ignoring the VFAD even, just a replacement of the intake box?

I don't like short rams, which this intake appears to be (an the Simota as well), but I have no reason to go to a CAI since the stock works plenty well. The only reason I'd change the intake box is for looks.

 

If this would mate up with a bumper insert to make it a true ram-style intake that would be very cool.

As an SRI though I would have to pass.
