Yes, I'm going to stick it in by myself with mazdamaniac's instructions. I ordered it from him (Jeff). Currently I'm using the EMU, but ordered the Cobb AP and will sell my EMU and stock Greddy/Mitsu turbo, hopefully very soon..

just installed the exhaust and i love it! it isnt as loud as i thought it was going to be and it has a nice deep tone to it. it gets loud when i get on it but when i drive normal its just a deep rumble. waiting on the headers to get shipped and when i install them ill put up pics and sound clips for the complete system.

One strange thing about the RX-8; exhaust systems sound like they might be far louder than they really are from inside the cabin.

I gotta credit chickenwafer for the heads-up as he pointed it out to me in the first place.

I'll be there, but I won't dyno my car. Well, takes some videos and post them up on YouTube for everyone.

the only bad thing about this exhaust is the way it makes the whole cabin vibrate and hum! i think im going to dynamat the car to quiet the cabin. also ive read a couple of threads on the CEL light coming on with the cat-delete pipe installed. i had this same problem on my mazdspeed protege. i tried an o2 simulator but it didnt work. but now ive found a new way to stop the light from coming on that doesnt require any wire cutting or an o2 sim. and it only cost $2.50. ill drive for a while and let you know if it keeps working because one of the threads i read said there was nothing you could do..lol

I am really looking at this exhaust, but also considering the HKS Hi-Power as well. I want to find a good deal on the Exotic Speed but no ebay listings and I can't even find any through a google search. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

Call Justin at ExoticSpeed and ask for the Charles R. Hill/BHR discount. He'll take care of you.

As for cabin noises; most aftermarket exhaust systems will induce some level of droning, rattles, noises, vibrations, etc., because the OEMs spend most of their time eliminating NVHs by tuning the whole car as a unit. Once we mess with their "formula" we get weird noises all over the place. As a matter of fact, one of the weird phenomenon I have found with the RX-8 is that when it sounds in the car like the exhaust might be loud outside, it really isn't that bad.

It's Youtube.... You really can not get the sound of a car off Youtube... I think it is funny how people think it sounds even close...

ive got the full exotic speed exhaust and have ran with a guy with agency power that had an AT and it sounds nowhere the same. Could be the AT vs MT, or could be his K&N vs my MS intakes.... who know. I like exoticspeed better though for sure!!

Well how else am I suppose 2 find out what any exhaust sounds like? Just buy any random one and hope for the best? I am in the process of buying an exhaust like the Exoticspeed or AP....people say they are pretty much the same but I just heard from the videos that they were a little different...any advice on other exhausts out there that have the colored titanium tips? thanks

I love mine... And I hate to say it, but yes you are taking a chance on what it will sound like... Your setup may not be the same as mine and you will have a sound unique to your car.
