ecu upgrade that doesn't void warranty?

would it void the entire warranty or just the euc warranty like for example if i have an engine prob that would normally be covered but i have an ecu upgrade would i be beat?

Any part the ECU has control of, etc would be subject to a warranty void. Engine/trans. Dealer could even try to void an ABS warranty issue since the ABS module and ECU communicate, depending on the ABS issue, same for any module that communicate with the ECU.
If youre worried, dont fool with the ECU, or use the Accessport (while you can still get it) and flash back to the OEM flash for warranty work.

AP cobb only work from 04-08, if you are in those years you are in luck and MM is the guy you want to buy it from because he got all the ecu maps.

but fear not, even with the AP being put to rest in the coming week there is a small underground effort to sprout a new tool (or set of tools) to tune the RX-8's PCM.

but is it better then AP? and who is going to tune it? even if the new tool is equal or better then AP, there will be a while before maps will be provided to the public.
