Does your borla rattle?

I can't figure it out. It usually happens at a stop, or when the car is in nuetral. Could I have tighten the spring bolts too tight? I don't think it's touching anything. Any suggestions? I thought that the install was very straight forward.....so any thoughts.

There's several threads on this already. I started one myself in the DIY section with things to look for and one fix. I still have another rattle that I haven't located yet.

Mine doesn't - but I haven't had mine on for long. Did you guys always have a rattle, or did it happen after using it a while?

With mine, I have to "reset" it's position within the clamps after every 2-3 autocrosses, as it shifts and begins to hit the heat shield (on the drivers side rear of the shield itself).

I loosen both clamps, and with careful adjustment, can get it back to where it JUST clears the metal. No matter how hard I drive on the street, this is never an issue, but you might check it just in case..........

Thanks, whenever I get my car back from service I'll check that.

Mine had the same rattle, usually at idle and especially when it was cold. The hanger closest to the differential was rubbing. I had a muffler shop put it up on a lift and then tap the exhaust and see if it hits anything. I had them heat up the hanger then bend it out of the way about an inch. Charge was only a $10 tip and the nasty rattle is gone.

Thanks for the tip.
