Has anyone done cutout exaust on there 8 I was thinking about doing it, yeah its REALLY loud but probably alot better hp gains then chaning out the entire exaust system and definately less expensive , and if its just tooooooo loud only open it up durning a race. any feedback would be greatly appreciated

 

Actually someone (either Racing Beat or Rotary Performance) dynoed the RX-8 with no exhaust and found minimal hp gains.

 

Yeah, the thing is i havent really seen any good hp gains worth the money for a full exaust.

the only way your 8 is going to make power is with a straight catless pipe to the exhaust... canzoomer and vivid has them on sale..they even come with a resonator to keep some of the noise level down..
