Looking at his quest to lighten unsprung weight, I would say performance also.

I've talked to some engineering majors about this and they are telling me there is no possible way only lightening pulleys can add any power. They said it'll help acceleration slightly but there should be no difference in power at all unless something is eliminated or underdriven.

Got any dyno graphs to prove this? They explained why and how to me but I can't remember all the specifics, it got kind of confusing to me.

Pullies will not effect your top end hp. They will effect your mid gears tho quite nicely. Same goes for flywheel.

lightening pullies won't add power. It functions similarly to a lightened flywheel in that it frees up hp. In cars you suffer a driveline loss, so that what hp a car makes at the engine is not what it puts down at the wheels. Because the power has to go through various mechanical devices it takes hp/power to work those devices. By lightening those devices you make the engine use less power to utilize those parts ala lightened flywheel or lightened pullies. So for example instead of losing 18% at the wheels, a car with lightened flywheel & pullies might only lose 16% (just example #'s).

Where he be?

Yeah I got the impression that he hasn't been heard from in a while. What you think happened to him? Hope he's hard at work on these pullies? :D

Ok, guys; sorry for the delayed response had 2 deaths in the family that has taken alot of my time... These pulleys are on indefinite hold as I get other things taken care of, might do them in the future if I find the time... Need to get the CF dash pods out ASAP as some of the ones from the first batch had to be redone; out of twelve 4 did not meet my standards...
