Corksport Installed!!!

Well last night I recieved two Corksport Exhaust systems. One for the raffle and one for myself

So I decided I couldn't wait and had to install it last night. Started about 5:30, and finished about 9:00.

Some highlights...
Corksport has done an awesome job in providing a template on the little piece you need to cut from each of the plastic exhaust cowls. Very easily done with a dremel and no problems at all. You can't even tell they were cut once you put them back on the car, because the diagram they provide follows the same lines as the original un cut piece.

The rubber hangers are a PAIN to get off. Put on as much soapy water as you can to work them loose. Try to get a back and forth motion going to get them off.

When taking off the plastic exhaust cowls start at the bottom and slowly work your way up. I didn't break any of the tabs and was VERY happy!

I can't believe the weight difference between this exhaust and the stock!

Sound is great, shifting through 1-2-3 you get a great deep sound all the way through the shifts, for 4-5 it gets even better. When you get to a cruising speed there is a slight difference from the stock sound (deeper sound), but it is not too loud (won't interfere with radio or cell phone conversations), just a perfect increase. Very easy to show it off if you want, but also able to keep it stealth for those times when the police are watching.

All in all VERY pleased with the exhaust and I will have some pictures tonight.

My car is currently disabled due to a fight with a piece of retread on the highway. As soon as I get it back from the shop I'll take some pics, maybe if I can get under the car while they are working on it I'll get some under shots as well.

I have the Corksport catback on my car. I wanted it for the weight reduction. I don't have any clips (sound or video) yet. I'll see if I can get something setup soon. I will say that this is probably one of louder exhaust systems available. But, it seems that it mellows with age.
I have a stock cat and intake.

Yeah thats really hard to believe considering its a full SS unit...Hell at that weight that puts it under the JIC full titanium unit...

I think that is certified

Speaking of the tips, I just bought/installed one of these Corksports (bought it used). The tips are a bit dirty- anyone know a good way to clean them?

damn, how many breaks did you take!? jk

I can't wait to see some pics because i'm thinking of buying this and selling my rb race exhaust because i wanna convert back to dual, but still keep the weight off while paying a decent price.

i hope it's not as bad as people make it seem.
