Cool New Toy from Escort, the G-Timer
Dammit, and I thought I kept up with these things :D
I like the GTech Pro Competition,it seems to flog the Escort in $ value-wise in features....am likely gonna' go with the GT Pro C and give 'er a rip.
**Btw,the Original GTech's only $139,but imo doesn't compare to the newer unit.

There are gonna' be a LOT of calibrations....go to GTech's website and read the tech manual,it's about a 40-step setup process, and you need, for best results,to know the EXACT weight of your car (and many, many other things) as well as test on dead-FLAT ground....seems like a bit of hassle for reg. road f'ing around....
In short,it's prolly' accurate if you autocross at level air force base lots or wal-mart parking lots, but with normal driving conditions some of its' readings won't be spot-on.....that's what I was able to discern....and I don't,at the moment,autocross....
I'll likely get one at some point, but the units'll be available much cheaper later in the year,so will likely wait....after reading the fine print I'm not as enthusiastic as I initially was....
