Cobb Ap 2.0

Cobb Ap 2.0
This is a pointless question - but I have to ask.
I HAD a COBB AP 2.0 for my 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Manual. Seeing they offer the same computer for the RX-8, does anyone know if I would have been able to KEEP mine (although I would have needed to strip the LGT to stock - pita) and maybe gotten it re-formated by COBB for the RX-8???
I'm hoping not, only because I believe they build and lock these for one certain type of car - but it is a mini computer of sorts, so I'm sure they would have just charged like a coupe hundred bucks for a re-tune and new OBDII Connector...haha. Anyone know? Should I email COBB themselves just so we know in case anyone ever does this to themselves - like I did....#%^#@%$#@%$#

Well that makes me fell a little better. I was thinking COBB could just re-calibrate/reflash the AP with the Mazda programming and get me a new OBD II Connector, haha. Time to start saving up either way...and to start researching engine management possibilites.
