CEL because of Supercat?

I have not contacted RP yet, I just wanted some feedback first. I got a check engine light, pulled code P0139 which is slow response from the O2 sensor behind the cat. mazda wont warranty it unless i put the stock cat on and they claim that it is because of the cat. i guess i got to put the stock cat back on at least to get warranty service, but i was wondering if the supercat may in fact be the cause of my problem. if i were to put my supercat back on, would it cause the o2 sensor to malfunction again?

they did say that my cat is not likely the cause of my problem

but also, they let me know that the R flash from mazda has been killing cats who have before then been doing great. i havent had a problem like that but they offered to replace my cat. i must send mine in, and they would cut out the old cat and put in an updated one, as well as add the missing hanger. only cost to me is shipping to them, they will even ship back to me free

That's good to know for future reference if I get a CEL that they'll fix it. I also like the fact that they'll just replace the cat since I have an extra bung welded on for an O2 sensor.
