CEL ON after installing B&B Midpipe/Exhaust and Raim Air

CEL ON after installing B&B Midpipe/Exhaust and Raim Air

This weekend I installed on my car the RB Raim Air intake as well as the B&B Midpipe and exhaust. The car runs great, but this morning my CEL came on. Is this normal?

For most RX-8's yes, you just removed the CAT and the car knows that so is giving you a CEL. If the preformance is fine you just will have to live with it or try what this guy did https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/solution-cel-midpipes-racepipes-64222/

Will let you know Friday when mine comes in, it should have the mechanical "fix".
Hope the thing is not to loud, don't mind a nice rumble or roar but don't need
A GT race machine....
