Blitz intake (any issues)

I know a few people on this board have the Blitz intake. I was just wondering how is it holding up since install. You know the usual, how many miles, dust problems (if any), how many times has it needed to be cleaned, etc. I've never heard of a filter made entirely out of stainless steel. Sounds cool though. Looking into dropping $425 on it after seeing the vids posted.

Another question: in one of the vids, is that high pitch, jet engine sound at idle the intake?

i have a filter test that shows the filtration and sir flow of some popular filters and the blitz didn't do so great in filtration but flowed very well and made good hp you can read up on it yourself if you want

Now that was VERY interesting. The Apexi intake looks pretty good after reading that. Do they even have an intake setup for the 8 though?

I went ahead and got the AEM CAI. Pretty nice. Now for a mid-pipe or high flow cat or something.

No probs. I'll borrow my mom's digi-cam and clean my engine bay (man it's dirty) as soon as I can. I still have to tap off the some of the hoses that aren't used anymore and get an air diffuser (maybe carbon fiber) also.

Just put my AEM CAI on today. Biggest pain in the *** ever. (I just hope i never have to clean it.) The only thing I could think of that needs capping off is the vacuum line and that isn't a "hose" and, strangely, the AEM kit doesn't come with the cap. Make sure you reconnected everything :O. Can't wait to drive my car tomorrow, just need to finish screwing on the fender wells.
