BlackHaloRacing Motor Mounts Prototype Review

I had the opportunity to work with BlackHaloRacing and test out the new motor mount prototypes. I first tested the soft inserts for about a week. When Erick first installed the mounts we paid special attention to the engine and interior vibration coming from the initial start. When turning over the engine had virtually no movement. In the interior a deeper vibration was felt and was heard deep in the dash. Some vibration could be felt in the seat. I am not sure if my stock mounts were worn, but my shifter no longer had any movement. Revving the engine the engine still did not budge. In the interior a vibration, as expected, was felt but in my opinion gave it a sportier feel and is manageable for an enthusiast.
Shortly after I took the 8 for a test drive and the first thing I noticed was a little more torque. I believe since the engine was no longer torqueing to the right it transferred equal energy to the rear wheels. Also vibration virtually dissipates after 3500rpms, which I believe come from the characteristics of the 13B. After a few days of driving I quickly got used to the mounts and the vibrations. Also at idle very little vibrations are felt, almost feels stock. Overall I was pleased and anxious to test the medium stiffness inserts.
After installing the medium inserts I immediately noticed more vibration in a great way. I really felt as though I could feel the 13B and its behavior. Also the vibration felt as it was more evenly distributed through the entire car instead of being concentrated in the dash. The test drive had the same characteristics, as the soft however a small difference in acceleration was felt but very minor in my opinion. As for idling a little more vibrations is felt than the softs but in my opinion still very negligible.
Overall these were my favorite inserts and the ones that are currently installed in my 8. If you have any questions I am willing to answer it to the best of my ability.
