I have a straight through midpipe. I like my AT sound effects during shifting. The BHR midpipe makes a nice sound but it isn't loud enough for me. Call me weird.
We can compare mine to Ceasers and Laythors at SSXII.

And yes it is better sounding then the stock cat. It produces a nice deep tone. No tin sound at all. Just smooth and mellow. Like a bottle of 30 year old Scotch.

Charles and company
you all will need to add me to the bottom of the ridiculously long list. My car is at mazda getting a new motor but I am sure by the time I come up on the list I will be through the break in period I want to beat Kris (police34) to the new pipe!

Oh and I should probablly order the ignition kit soon. I will pm you about that once I get the car back from Mazda

FYI, the install wasnt done yet, but i wanted a pic before the braces were back in. and yes, that bolt was put in about 10 seconds after this pic was taken.

Drove her home and wowza
The sound is just wonderful. No raspieness, no tin can sound, no "look at me i'm a ricer with a straight pipe" feeling. Just clean and with a bit more bass.
When the mechanic was installing it he said "This is going to be really loud", i bet him a coffee that it wouldn't be... he owes me a coffee.

Everything went together smooth as butter, I was impatient so had him take off the old pipe while it was still warm/hot, so if i ever go back to stock i'll need some new bolts

I didnt slam it around too hard on the way home but my butt dyno was happy. No idea of cel since I have an accessport and it will mask it.

For anyone still trying to decide if they want this, stop waiting. I've heard, driven in, driven next to a ton of different midpipes, this is my favorite.

on a scale of 1-10, how loud was your OEM setup and how does this compare?

Jorge, I know right? Who knew the AP masked cel's? On a scale of 1 to 10 my old set up (MS intake, MS dual cat back was a 6. With the BHR midpipe i'd call it a 6.5, 7 to 8 when i stomp on the throttle. But it's not "loud" it's more... grumbly? It doesnt just become loud for the sake of loud, it seems to play off the existing sounds that we all love from the rotary.

Since I have the OEM cat-back, and my shipment is going to be in the future, will you be supplying the bolts/washers to use in place of the springs/studs? Actually, if you could supply both, that would be awesome. That way if you guys ever come out with a BHR cat-back that I absolutely must have, I'll have the springs/studs to use with it...
