AxialFlow shifter giveaway

There are about 30 shifters left from the last run and we will be making a new run as soon as they are gone. The bad news is that the next batch will have new pricing of $20.00 more. We have not raised the price in three years and there are of course increases in cost.
In order to get these off the shelf we are offering to include a cylinder brace for free. Just an extra S&H charge of $20. So for the price of the next run you get a brace for nothing. There are only two red ones left the rest are blue. All the shifters in this deal have the new bushings in the third polymer design. This material is similar to the striping they use in drag race blowers.
So far it has proven bullitproof.
There is no provision on the website yet so contact me direct for these deals.

By the way of the 10 RX8's running in pro racing series 7 use our shifters. We didn't give them away either, they all bought them. The other 3 will come around when they find out about it.

The '09 will use a new gearbox and we are on top of that too.

awesome deal Richard! I'm sure these will go quickly.
If I didn't already have your shifter, I would be ALL over this...

I apologize if this is common knowledge but what is the difference between red and blue?

The brace is billit aluminum and anodized in color. In this case we have blue and red left. You might look up the axialflow thread in the wheels tires and brakes section. Or our website axialflow.com
Or click on our footer ad.

What's the upgraded bushing you speak of? Is that the cup on the bottom of the STS?

whenson417 08-01-2008 05:27 PM

If we have one of your older shifters, is there any benefit to having the new polymer bushing like on current production run? If so, can we get them swapped out?

You just made it under the wire. Going out in todays shipment leaving in 10 min.

When we run the next batch of shifters there will be extra bushings for anyone who needs them. All replacments will be with the new parts.

The racers are testing them now so give it a couple of weeks.

PM'd! :)

GuyWithRx8 08-01-2008 06:06 PM

So you're giving away cylinder braces with the purchase of a shortshifter...

MazdaManiac 08-01-2008 06:15 PM

I don't think I can stress enough how absolutely fundamental these two parts are to the well being of an RX-8 owner.
There are precious few mods one can perform that produce such instant gratification as these two.

Rotr8 08-01-2008 06:42 PM

man, 4 girls 1 tub ,, your starting to slack MM

swoope 08-01-2008 06:44 PM

great deal.

nice to see you around richard!

and i am also wondering about the new bushing. is it an update from the yellow kevlar one as mine just started making noise.

if so i would like to order one if i could.

Very small tub

mysql 08-01-2008 06:48 PM

so the bushing is the bottom cup?

I uninstalled my STS because the few people who had the cup break, also all needed new transmissions immediately after. Granted, I've only read three people having had this issue, so it doesn't seem widespread and I don't want to alarm the other readers - but I didn't want to take the risk when mazda recently gave me a brand new tranny due to the 4th gear syncros dying. They aren't going to be happy if I come in a year later needing another one.

If the cup is revised, I would be interested in getting my sts upgraded and I would love to reinstall it. The STS is a huge improvement over stock.

This is really some of the best money spent.
Seriously.
You should have tried it in my car when I was there last.
Be sure to check it out next week.

CTrx8 08-01-2008 07:05 PM

PM sent. Damn you and your good deals. I don't need to be spending this money. :)

tajabaho1 08-01-2008 07:12 PM

are the cups you guys talking about the lower bushing that mazdatrix has an aluminum version of? cus I have the yellow version from you richard, and it is starting to make a bit of noise, but I didn't really cared about it that much

if I may ask, how much will the upgrade to that be?

Richard Paul 08-01-2008 08:22 PM

I'm getting alot of requests for the new bushing. I should just keep my mouth shut. Anyway those of you that want it can have one when they are available. If you have a failure it will be replaced with the new material. If you just want one because they are available then you will have to install it yourself. We fix all our shifters for free but changing parts for no reason is not included in that policy.
The next run of shifters will be in about 3 weeks. We will not have extra bushings until then. The new bushings are being abused right now by the racers. We need to see how they live. If they make it a few hours in a race car then they will live until your grandkids go to collage in your street car.

Also I'm getting bombarded with people who want only the shifter at a discount. I'm hurt you guys don't want my brace, it is a very good addition to your car. It works. Anyway in order to keep things fair I will offer these same batch of shifters to you for $250 shipping included. This is still only until this batch is sold.
