IMO it depends what you are going for. The money would be better spent in looks if your just plain stock. I like my shifter so I wouldn't spend any money on that. Clutch and flywheel is going to be a lot of money with the install price (something I'd wait to do till the car needs it). The RP cat will give you some power and sound but nothing that great. I went with the RP cat, K&N and RB flash. Unless I go stand alone or remove my A/c I think I'm about maxed out on N/a power, besides that I could only shave weight.
Where do you see this car in the future? Turbo, S/C or N/A?

visuals of the car is not stock ... i have an R-Magic front end, clear corners, rims.. and so forth ... as far as the other modifications i have done to the car they are ..mazsport cooling mod, underdrive pullies, new plugs, wires, and battery, revi intake and duct, and a custom flowmaster catback exhaust. i have no plans on goin FI in the future but will end up with a nitrous setup. My plans involve me runnign higher then a 55 shot so emanage ultimate is in the future also .. install is not a big concern of mine, i myself am mechanically innclined and have many friends that are into cars as well to help out ... which brings me to these other 4 NA mods... i plan eventually doing them all... its jsut what pair of mods do people believe to have the most effect on the vehicle in power/acceleration.

Well, in that case. The RP cat will free up power as will the flywheel. You might free up more power with the cat if your stock has many miles on it. The shifter might take a 10th of a second off your times but it's driver based.
So IMO the shifter and cat will be the better choice for power/accel.

I know you didn't ask, but I thought I'd chime in with the mods that have helped me in the performance department.

The Mazmart water pump freed up a bit of power for me, and the design flows better at all rpms, according to Mazmart. The designer, Rick Engman, has an extremely good reputation, so I'm inclined to believe it. Plus I've noticed that my water temps seem to drop more quickly when I get going. I've had them drop by as much as ten degrees in less than a mile. At only a little over 200 bucks shipped, I feel it was a worthwhile mod.

The 4.77 rear gear also gave me better acceleration and response. I've heard positive reviews of it on the MT as well, although your first gear is already very short. Although by the time I purchased the gear and had the diff built with a core swap, I think I laid out around 1500 bucks, including all the shipping.

The stock airbox mod being discussed in the DIY section may have helped me some. I think I noticed a bit of an increase. Plus, the gross horsepower reading on my scangauge ended up being 25 hp higher than I had ever seen it before doing the mod. Not sure if this was due solely to the mod - i'm sure other environmental factors (air temp, humidity, etc) could have been at play as well, but I don't think they solely would have added up to that much of an increase. More than likely a combination of the two. I've only driven it once since the mod, so I'll report in that thread if I notice anything else as I drive it more. And it was a free mod. Keep in mind that gross hp is not the same as brake horsepower. BHP is the rating when you take into account the loss for the accesories the engine has to drive. According to the Scangauge people that is typically 25% less than gross horsepower.

There is a small "new thread" button near the top of the page on the left side. In this section it is below the "sub-forums" section but above the list of the individual threads in this section. Don't feel too bad - I had a tough time finding it at first as well. It doesn't jump right out at you.
