another intake question

I have been searching the forum and couldn't find an answer to my question. Do you have to take off the front bumper everytime you need to clean the filter on the mazdaspeed cold air intake? I am getting the intake at cost b/c i work at a dealership, but if i have to take the bumper off every time i clean the filter it wouldn't be worth wild to me. any input would be great. thanks

taking the bumper on off is easier than rotating tires IMO

You won't find anything difficult with the MS intake installation, just remember to remove the VFAD and plug the inlet on the intake manifold where the VFAD vacuum line went. Also, make sure to keep the MAF sensor clean. May not be a bad idea to give it a little rinse with some contact cleaner or MAF cleaner that you can get at Autozone. I installed an AEM intake (which is the same design) and it came with pretty clear instructions. Not sure how the instructions are for the MS intake.
The exhaust isn't bad either (just depends on how rusted it is). Save yourself some trouble and use dish soap on the rubber grommets when removing/installing them onto the hangers.
Other than that, you should have no problems (hopefully)!

Having to take off the front bumper much easier than your making it seem. Having done this two time to intall my intake and to replace a broken headlight, I can say that it took me about 20 minutes the first time removing it for the headlight with no previous experience and no instructions to go off from. The second time removing the front bumper for the intake it took roughly half that long

Thanks guys... the exhaust went on in under 20min. It was so easy. The car only has 10000 miles on it, and i have owned it for two days now. These cars are a blast to drive. But what I still don't like is my 1.8t beetle had more hp(266/312 to the front) is there anything else i can do without affecting my warranty?

Short answer... no!
If you're worried about the warranty, only thing that would help is to reduce weight and take care of your engine (keep up with the maintenance). Maybe focus on suspension and tires so that you could maneuver better on the track.
Think about going FI once the warranty (or your patients) is gone.
