Hey everyone, looks like Im another FNG. Just need some info on the 09 r3 and what mods on my list are worth it, and which ones arent. Just for your own sense of awareness, I am going to use this car as a daily driver/smashing the twisties, not looking for a dragger. I am in Iraq still and would like to have these items ordered before I get back. So please, let me know whats up.

1st mods

RB exhaust w/RP cat
sway bars: rb? agency? havent decided yet. open to opinion.
suspension: Ill stick with the bilstein shocks for now and get springs. Looking at tein s's.
intake: RB? Or just a k&n drop in?
engine: Cobb tuner, mazsprort ignition solution, ap pulley
Wheels/tires: Going to leave the stock 19's on it for now and just upgrade the tires.
Short throw shifter? is it worth it?

get the AFE short throw shifter first

 

Too late, just ordered the RP high flow cat.

Will the AFE short throw shifter still work on the 09? I heard that it has a differrent gear ratio. Dont know if thats a prob or not.

 

I'm not sure what parts you have listed there will work with the 09 models. I know the suspension is all new in the rear, so I that won't carry over.

Also the it's unlikely the Cobb AP will work with the 09 anytime soon.

 

Im definately going to wait on the suspension upgrades until I drive the car and can see what will and wont work. As far as the exhaust is concerned, I think I should be safe. Thanks for pointing out the cobb AP. Didnt even think of that.
