Well would you know what the kirkistown series is?
no......perhaps its because your in a different country from me..... Yes the new intake manifold would be for cosmetic reasons only. All it was intended for was engine dress up. |
The silly plastic intake manifold doesn't heat soak nearly as fast as a silly aluminum one. The silly plastic intake manifold weighs less than a silly aluminum one. Please don't say it's heavier than aluminum tubing either. If it came in aluminum, it would be cast just like the silly aluminum lower intake manifold.
The intake manifold on the Renesis is the best intake ever applied to a rotary over the widest range. I have never seen another design that could make it better and even race teams that ARE allowed to change the manifolds haven't. That says alot! For forced induction use it could be argued that the plastic doesn't have the hoop strength that aluminum would so it would be better to upgrade it. This is the only excuse I can think of to change it. I have wanted to try some ideas but if I could easily mold a new plastic one, I'd definitely go that route. It's not really all that silly. |

LOL, I wouldn't call the Nissan 350Z an "International Exotic", (well, perhaps if I owned a Tempo) but I get your point.

I still got a chuckle out of it, I mean, come on.

does the greddy lower intake manifold work on normally aspirated cars
|
agreed that this intake is good for the na car--for fi cars there are a few small things that can be done---the intake was not designed for a fi kit.
i have an aftermarket upper aluminum intake with the pettit kit and just like RG and others say it does heat soak much worst than the "plastic" OD |
for looks yo could paint it as done before but just like the actual intake on this car it's set up about as good as u are going to get.....

no that would be an exhaust manifold and not an air intake manifold
|
i dont believe there has been a aftermarket intake manifold done.. there would be no reason to make one nor would there be enough of a market for what they would have to sell it for..
|
greddy has one search rx8 gredd intake manifold on google....i was just wondering if NA cars could use
|
that is quit odd, someones gotta get this and see how well it works, and if there are any benefits over the oem...
|
wow that is really weird i thought he was making it up but its true there is one.

I kind of did, right above zoom's post
|
i sent one of the companies selling a message asking for a photo of the real product and explaining that the pictured item wont work on the Renny
|
It does however seem that it would fit the REW 13B, at least visually
|
I wonder why GReddy's website doesn't even mention this item for our car
