You are correct the downpipe is for turbo applications. As for the midpipe there are many options available. Do a little research and make an educated purchase. You can also keep your eye on the for sale area they constantly are being posted for sale. You can probably get your hands on a midpipe for around $100.

Your stock resonator is part off the factory midpipe / cat. This section of exhaust will be replaced with the new aftermarket midpipe you purchase. So to answer your question it will not affect installation.

I just put the AP midpipe on my car not that long ago. Very happy with the mod, especially for it's price. Very well made, and it gives a nice bump to the exhaust tone on stock exhaust without making it ridiculous.

Those pipes are all the same. Get it, and you won't be disappointed!
