Aftermarket Voltage Gauge / DFW area install ?
Okay, some of you know about my car and some don't. I have the Lotek gauge pod and I had put some Swoosh gauges in my car because they matched pretty well. Well, I could never get the voltage gauge to work because I can't find a "steady on" 12V source. I really would rather change gauges altogether because I'm not crazy about these. Does anyone have an aftermarket voltage gauge that works ? Also, how "standard" are the sending units on gauges (do most of them use similar signal ?) ? I ask because I really don't want to re-run new sending units (I know I'll prob have to). I'd like some suggestions. I want to keep my same gauge set up - voltage, oil press and water temp as those are handy to have. The other two gauges are working great, but I want them all to match.
My other question is, once I find some gauges that work, is there anyone in the Dallas area that can either do (or assist) me with an install ? Please make sure you DEFINITELY know how to do this and can run the sending units if necessary. I had a bad experience the last time on here when someone told me they could and then didn't even comprehend what the sending units were.
