OK stawiar04... before the flaming begins... let me give you some advice since your new. I've been on this forum for a few months now (and it has taking over my personal & work life...LOL) and one thing I've learned REAL quick from ready thousands of threads is to ALWAYS search before creating a new thread. Yes sometimes it will take some time to search and you have to be creative with your wording, but I have always found what I was looking for (eventually) just by searching.
So now to your question... I have an AEM CAI and yes you do have to take off the front bumper. Don't let that scare you off, its really easy. AEM will send you instructions (with pictures too) to assist you during the installation.
Here is a link I found in the DIY section for removing bumpers:
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=intake
Now I know that you're probably also wondering, "Will I see a large performance gain like it advertises?" This is a chance to use the search for that answer... its been covered and debated ALOT!
Good luck!
