AC intake?

With all the talk of cold air intake being better for producing more hp, I've always wondered if anyone tried routing their air conditioner to directly blow freezing air into the intake box LOL
would the conplexity outweigh the gains?

Just redirect your intake so that it is inside the cabin. There are many off road racers that do this but it is more for protection from water/mud than anything else since they don't have a/c. The real question is will the engine suck the air out of the cabin faster than cold air from the a/c can enter it? I bet it will.

That would probably make the cabin damn loud.

the AC runs off power from the engine, you can't use it to boost performance of the engine

Superchargers run off of the power of the engine. Can they not boost engine performance?

After the first split second it takes to eat all the air in the cabin it will start on eating the air in your lungs.

AC For Performance

This reminds me of new Ford Lightning that is coming that has cold air intake that uses cold air from air conditioner under the hood to give short bursts of increased power for about 20-30 sec. This engine is supercharged which heats air intake so this makes sense but for us? Probably not worth cost for slight increase of power.
