Im just wondering if you guys think the AC condensor / oil cooler screens from Racing Beat are worth the money?

Also, does this restrict air flow to the condensor / radiator at all?

Yes they are worth it. I bought them from rx8strakes.com. Both seem to have good quality products.

Racing beat = stainless steel

Rx8strakes = aluminum

I sprayed mines with Rustoleum anti rust clear coat before installing.

 

My right oil cooler screen took a bird hit on a recent road trip. Well worth having it there.

You'll get some loss of airflow with a screen there, but on a non-FI car, it doesn't seem to make any difference. OldDragger has stated that on his supercharged car, it was noticeable.

 

i noticed no issues with it. If you plan on getting the mazdaspeed front bumper, you can avoid getting them since the MS bumper has a metal mesh already.

 

OH, yes. I installed mine in January but unfortunitly it was to late as a rock had pierced my AC condensor prior to that. Got a nice bill from the dealer for $600 last month
