well sounds like the short throw is the way to go...i got tot admit after driving my bros GT with the short throw in the going through the gears is greattt

 

Okay well if you're not going to try and pick up a stock on the cheap can I recommend Racing Beat sway bars. They will be the best performance/handling increase for the buck and you can install them yourself. Well with a Friend but you don't need to pay a mechanic to do it if you're in to working on your car.
