so im thinkin of selling my stock 2 rotor engine for a 3 rotor. 4 rotor is wayyy out of my budget, and just a turbo is not enough..
any suggestions or thoughts? . . . . .

really that much? my friend owns ART automotive racing tech. so labor isnt that big of a problem, and his brother has an rx7 and wants to do it to his as well. but he's told me that he found the complete 3 rotor stock for around 4 grand. which apparently gives me up to 400 hp after tuning and the whole deal. so i dont see how it could get to be that much, unless im upgrading every part and buying it all seperately.

rx7's way different...its a lot easier to do it on an rx7 then it is on the rx8

Have you ever rode in properly turbo'ed RX-8? How do you know it's not enough? Have you ever drove a 600+rwhp >3.0 liter car? Do you have any clue how much of a handful they are?

 

just get the rx7 twin turbos...they bolt right on

damn right. to get the engine in there you have to have alot of custom fab... the ecu is Microtech ecu will run you a little bit. and im gunna agree with Chickenwafer. Youmight want to turbocharge a renesis. i promise you. you wont spend less than 15,000 on a 3 rotor setup if you plan to have it running. get the esmeril racing kit. That will give you close to what a 3-rotor will, with less the complication...

btw, do you kno how much my mechanic spent on just the turbo manifold for the 3-rotor (has to be custom made)?? $3500. ouch.
