The only downside to the 3" midpipe is that you have to carefully stretch the factory braided "doughnut" to fit the pipe but it was worth it. I used a standard exhaust pipe stretcher.

What about the the 2 factory O2 sensors? All the racecats and midpipes I´ve seen only have one connector on them?

the front sensor is in the exhaust manifold, only the rear sensor is in the midpipe

When you remove your factory midpipe/cat, the end with the two nuts/studs that fits in the "cat-back" portion will have a braided stainless steel "doughnut" that seals the two pipes together. This doughnut will need to be retained. However, because the factory exhaust at that point is about 2.5" it will need to be slightly stretched to fit the new midpipe. Pics? Nope. It's a pretty easy operation and the pipe stretcher is available at the parts shop. Or, if you are friendly with the local exhaust shop they may stretch it a bit for you.

The RP pipe reduces down to the 2.5" outlet size to fit the OE and aftermarket exhausts

Team, is that a recent change they made? I got my pipe from RP two years ago and I had to open up the doughnut. Either way, getting rid of the cat is one of the more effective ways to get more power out of our engines.

It came with a group of parts I bought used, you can see that donut tube extension is smaller than the main 3" tube, it measured 2.5" OD, I never installed it and am assuming the donut just slid on, maybe I'm wrong ...

I've got the racing beat catback. when I look for a midpipe, do i need to plan on stretching the donut? Or is there no longer any donut... also, since the RB intermediate pipe is 3 inches, what is the effect of having the RP midpipe that reduces down to 2.5"? Sorry bout the thread jack, just a relevant question, i think...
