Hi guys. My alternator blew up somehow, lit the wiring harness on fire, and then I guess either the fire or the heat damaged one of the engine rotors. The result: I need a new engine.

Now I am past warranty, and it would take 2-3 weeks for a new engine to arrive. I was wondering how difficult would it be to install a triple rotor engine (assuming I had somebody who could do it), and how I would go about acquiring one?

oh man, its not that easy and I hope you have deep pockets and know how to wrench on your own stuff.

 

And when he says deep pockets, he's talking in the 15-20k range.

i'd hate to say it but your better off swapping in a LS1..haha

 

it will cost you around 20k, i suggest buy a used rx8 with those 20k
