15HP for $200

Ralco RZ underdrive pulleys. I found these for sale on ebay for $200. I normally would never consider buying performance mods for cars on ebay but this is $130 cheaper than SR motorsports pulleys. They are 56.3% underdriven and all 3 weigh 49 oz. compared to the stock's 73 oz. Cad designed and CNC'd from 6061 billet aluminum. Instructions are included and supposedly is a quick 30 min. install.

Is anyone out there running these? It all sounds really good and I'm seriously considering ordering them. Thoughts, anyone? Experience with these? Thanks

also there is only one of that item. so if you really wanted it, you should buy it before this thread alerts someone else of the item.

i have no batt or air intake box in my engine bay, so you can see all the pulleys on my engine. I'd love to get a nice looking set of pulleys, but I'm not going to drop $200 for bling. I also don't want to underdrive my water pump.

it looks like the same 3 pulleys for the 350z is almost half the price:

Apparently they tack on $80 to the price tag if the pulleys are slightly undersized (so it's underdriven).

well it looks like you're turboed anyway so there'd really be not much of a point if the gains are supposedly nowhere near what manufacturers claim. but SR motorsports does have their dynosheets posted on their site for their pulleys.....

dyno numbers are easily manipulated. They're good for baseline comparisons if you do the runs under similar conditions, and don't do crap like bring dry ice along, or add race fuel to the engine.

Yeah, I was one of the first years ago to dyno the SR units. They claimed 12 hp gain, I got 1.2 whp gain. Apparently they forgot the decimal point.

NO pulley is going to give you those kinds of hp gains on this size engine. And the level of underdrive that they are claiming will undoubtedly wear your components crazy quick. Alternator/battery will be a mess, not to mention AC.

Fanman is our guinea pig. He tests out stuff so the rest of us don't have to.

I applaud your efforts, Fanman.

Pulleys are pretty senseless to me if you don't have anything else already installed.
Also undedriving some components such as the water pump is not a brilliant idea if you track your car often.

Yep, I have wasted thousands of dollars on useless products so that other board members don't have to. Haha.

2 pulleys, $60. alternator and waterpump... i think they are greddy copies.
i just got them because they aren't under driven and lighter, and that i wanted to have them engraved.

save ur money for a REAL performance upgrade. its sad that others copy products...thats why real name brand costs so much. but afterall its just a machined material.

pulleys will all be the same. just look for the kit with the features you like.
mine being same diameter, and its $60! practically just aluminum replacement units. so what can they say about warranty?

ur choice though.
