[help]mod chip installation
hi. I really want to give the freaking ebay 20hp mod chip a try and see how it goes.
however, after i opened up the hood. there were two plugs connecting to my air intake. One is black( the one that connects to the MAF/IAT) and the other is Green. i don't know where and which to connect my mod chip.
is it the black or the green?
if it is the black, which terminals since there are 5.
please people don't say that i am stupid. because i just want to give this ebay **** a try. maybe i will break the myth forever. lol
will post result.

Your just asking for trouble in doing this, do you really think you can add 20 hp with a .10-cent resistor? If power was that easy don’t you think Mazda could find a resistor and install it. This LINK might be interest as I can foresee future posts from you asking for help fixing your messed up 8. Didn’t you get instructions “custom made for the RX-8” That’s what the E-Bay listing said and there wouldn’t be any mis-information on an E-bay listing right? Also the ONLY way you can prove the thing works is to DYNO your car BEFORE and after the "MOD"

The last guy who tried one of those a couple months ago broke his car pretty good. It had trouble starting, had a bad idle, flooded itself, then the electrical system took a crap has fuses were blown. All within a few seconds.
So, yeah, good luck with that. Not only will you not get 20hp but you'll damage your car and may even have to have it towed to the dealer if the flooding is bad enough.

please. i aM really stragulling. wich plub and which terminal. on the instruction, it just te;ls you that install it onto the terminals for IAT. But where are the terminals for IAT. lol

Anyone retarded enough to do something despite the warnings of what happened to others previously deserves what they get. You're not treading new ground, or putting some 'myth' to rest -- we know exactly what will happen. People have tried before with very negative and damaging results.

Here's what happened to the last guy:
After my friend and I installed it, my car acted as if it was starving for feul. It began idling VERY low, and wouldn't stay running. We removed the module, and restored the wiring to normal, but after that, the car would not even turn over.

What you really need is for someone to steal your RX-8
Why didn't you just do a search for IAT ??

Now after reading the many post on how this will not work what is your mental disability that drives you to mess up your RX-8 when given the facts that this will not work?
FACT: what this will do if you can start your car is richen the fuel mix across the whole RPM range
FACT: The RX-8 already runs rich, adding more fuel will not make more power.
Why do you believe an EBay listing over the experience and knowledge of many forum members? What do we have to lose if this thing works?

i am not very good with cars. just started studying them about 7 monthes ago.
they turn out to be a graceful thing.
it will be great to get help and advice from here.
when i got the car, it was already screwed up.
no parts were changed by the previous owner, but the clutch, transmission, engine oil, and even the break had some problems.
so i turned it to a dealer that gave me an almost brand new one. lol
the thing is that i want to race, so i need the power. but i don't want much, i just want it to be as fast as a 350Z in straight. and kill them in turns.
so i want cheap power.have to admit.
