To all you guys that have not met me, here’s a pic... make sure you stop me and say howdy! I hope to meet every one of you. Last year there were a bunch of us there but we never got together.

Herblenny, are you driving your RX-7? That's one fine machine! I'd like to take a good series of shots of it.

You know I'm there if you see a WB with a plate that says "MY RX8." Someone noticed it last year. Hope to meet you guys and maybe get together for a bit or something, like food?

Thanks SilverEIGHT!. I'll be coming to the event with the 7. I'll be there early (8AM) and leave around 2-3PM. I'm suppose to show the car at the event.

Hope to see you there!

I'm looking to buy an FD myself. Gotta look into if I can get a good loan and talk the guy down. Anyway, I'm still excited and am sure to be pleased with the FD. Keep in touch guys.

Thanks SilverEight... Hopefully my blk FD will be better

Also, some of us rotary heads are thinking about getting together for early dinner on Sunday. Any of you 8 owners interested in joining us? Does anyone know of a good place?? I was thinking around 5PM since some of us Alabamians have to drive back. Please let me know and I'll let some of the 7 owners know.

PHIL

Nashirak and I may be interested since we'll be there. I'll PM you my cell and you can just call and let me know what's up. I probably won't be near a computer anymore this weekend.

See you guys there.

For those coming tomorrow, why don't we arrange to meet somewhere during the event?

There is an engine display with a cross-section of a Wankel towards the middle of the area. For those coming in the AM, anyone want to meet up around 11am and go grab some lunch at Waffle House or Wendy's ?(the food they provide is SERIOUSLY lacking not to mention pricey) 9G will be wearing his white RX-8 club golf shirt and mazda visor, and I'll be wearing an Advance Auto Parts visor.

Any Takers?

Did anybody else see the idiot that wrecked a Mazdaspeed6 into a metal sign and smashed up the timing machine on saturday? it was hilarious, they clipped him twice for that.

LOL! Nope, I went on Sunday. Is that the guy that they opened the door clipped his card twice and asked him to leave without letting him park the car? Too funny!

Oh yeah, at the end of sunday the attendants were REALLY strict at the MX-5/RX-8 course. I got a good last RIDE (I emphasize because I was NOT driving) with a guy I met there from the GA 8 forum. He did a wicked clutch-kick around a curve and did a good 360, taking out all the cones on the inside of the curve. They were pissed to the point that as a passenger, I got my card TAKEN (he did too, obviously) and they escorted us outside the premises.

It was reported that the folks running the show got so pissed that they threatened to shut the event down early (there was ~30-45 minutes left) if ANYONE did ANYTHING REMOTELY out of line. Do I know how to go out with a bang or what? =) lol

I did notice that they were being extra bitchy about shinanigans this year. I guess their insurance company got on to them because they didn't give a crap about doing burnouts, getting it sideways and what not last year, but this time they clipped a guy that just did a burnout on the start, it was ridiculous

ROFLLMMFAO!!!!! Hopefully they won't be that big of douches and keep people from registering because of being a PASSENGER. The other thing that sucked for Nashirak and I was that we had pretty much taken some guy's girlfriend and we were showing her a good time. It was a blast!!!

I remember hearing the MS6 hit the sign, didn't see it, but funny all the same.

It was great getting to meet some of you. Wish we could've hung out more, but there will be another time for that. You guys just need to try and have meets a little farther south.

Herblenny, your 7 is amazing man, I took quite a few pictures of that amazing machine. I wish I could've gotten a ride in it, but you guys left before we HAD to leave.

Well, you guys take care and stay in touch.

Later!

The guy that did the 360 sounds like a real douchbag besides I was informed that both your and "the idiot who did the 360" tags were just thrown away, so there is no way for them to know your information to block it next year
